The Wrath Igniter is an item with similar functions to Flint and Steel. However, it creates Wrath Fire, an extremely powerful variation of fire that can decimate entire forests in mere minutes and turn Grass into Dirt. Wrath Fire travels very rapidly, has a different texture than normal fire, and can light aflame and spread across nearly all blocks. If Wrath Fire comes in contact with flammable objects such as trees or wooden planks, some of the Wrath Fire that is in contact with it will become normal fire.
Wrath Fire requires no flammable objects to spread and can spread across any block except for liquids, Dirt and ore blocks. Thus, it is recommended that any Wrath Fire ignition be done in an area surrounded by liquid of some description or on a floating island. The Wrath Fire will also ignite the player and the player will take one heart of damage per second. Wrath Fire has a luminance of 6.
Wrath Fire also has the power to transform blocks. Wrath Fire can transmute Cobblestone into Stone, Stone into Cobblestone, Sand into Glass and Grass into Dirt. Except with Grass-Dirt, the inverse statement is also true. If obsidian is lit on fire it will turn to lava. When an iron block is lit on fire with a Wrath Igniter, a Dark Iron Block will appear in its place after a few seconds of being aflame. These Dark Iron Blocks can then be turned back into four Dark Iron Ingots in a crafting grid.
The Wrath Igniter has a total of six uses per igniter. This makes it a very expensive and powerful tool and a possible griefing threat to servers if the players have sufficient diamonds; regardless of how many Wrath Igniters are being made, a Block of Diamond is required to make the Diamond Shard Craftpacket.

When lit on unisolated flatland terrain, the Wrath Fire produced a circle of non-grassy dirt created by the Wrath Fire with a radius of approximately 40 blocks. If lit in a forested area, it can spread further due to the high quantity of flammable objects and areas to spread to.
