Wispy Essence is an item droped by Wisps in the Thaumcraft 3 mod. It isn't particularly useful, however it can be a good source of the Mutatio Aspect, otherwise only found in Netherwart, Slimeballs, and Moss stone. Almost all wisps drop Wispy Essence upon death, and they only spawn when there is a lot of flux in the aura.
