Ruby is a gem added by RedPower 2, like Green Sapphire and Sapphire. They can be found semi-rarely underground from levels 0 to 48. Rubies can also be substituted for a Diamond in the recipe for an Energy Crystal.

Usage[]
Like other gems can be used to construct the basic tools, including axes, pickaxes, shovels, swords, handsaws, and sickles. They can also be crafted into a block. The tools made by rubies are as fast as diamond tools, however, they do not last as long as their diamond counterparts, lasting 501 uses, and they also cannot mine Obsidian.
If Gregtech is installed, 9 ruby dusts are required to make one chrome dust in an industrial electrolyzer.
