The Recycler is an electric machine from IndustrialCraft2 that will process most blocks or items. It consumes the item and has a small chance to produce Scrap. Each operation requires 2.25 seconds (4 operations in 9 seconds). You can use Overclocker Upgrades to increase the speed.
Function[]
The Recycler is commonly used as a receptacle for excessive amounts of cobblestone, dirt, etc.. Infinite cobblestone can be created using an Igneous Extruder with one bucket of lava and one of water, or by using a Block Breaker in conjunction with a cobblestone generator. Each operation has a 12.5% (1 in 8) chance of producing Scrap. Items to be recycled can be piped into the top of the Recycler, while the scrap generated can be piped out from any of the sides (but not the bottom).
Blacklisted Items[]
The following items can be used by the Recycler, but will not produce any scrap.
- Glass Panes
- Sticks
- Snowballs
- Scaffolds
Other items may also be added manually by editing the IC2.cfg file.
Energy[]
The Recycler can receive up to 32 EU/t, unless it is upgraded with a Transformer Upgrade. If you supply it with any more energy than low voltage (32 EU/t), the Recycler will explode! The Recycler consumes 35 EU per operation and requires a minimum of 2 EU/t to operate continuously.
