Nikolite Ore is a block added by RedPower 2. Nikolite Ore is found in veins of about the same size as other materials such as Iron, Redstone, etc. and with about the same degree of rarity as well. Mining it with an Iron Pickaxe or greater yields 3-5 Nikolite. However, processing nikolite ore through an Industrial Grinder gives 12 piles of nikolite dust and 1 tiny pile of Diamond Dust per ore.
Uses[]
Nikolite is used in the production of Blue Alloy Ingots and Blue-Doped Wafers. Blue Alloy Ingots are used in the production of Jacketed Bluewire/Blue Alloy Wire and various machines, and Blue-Doped Wafers are used in the production of machines & power generators including but not limited to RedPower Solar Panels. Nikolite is also used in the creation of BT Batteries, which are the RedPower equivalent of RE Batteries, but they carry Blutricity instead of EU.
For Nikolite to be useful to a player, either an Alloy Furnace or a Blulectric Alloy Furnace are required to smelt Nikolite into Silver ingots (for Blue Alloy Ingots) or into Silicon Wafers (for Blue-Doped Wafers; Silicon Wafers are made by combining Sand and Coal in an Alloy Furnace to create a Silicon Boule and then cutting the Silicon Boule with a Diamond Handsaw; these should not be confused with the Silicon Cells added by GregTech that are used in the creation of Solar Panels).
