The Material Emancipation Grid will remove portals created by any player that passes through it. It can be crafted, but not used. When a player attempts to place a Grid, it only gives the player a text message telling them not to use it. The Grid is not placed.
While this item cannot be used, it is possible to find it in a chest while playing in survival.
