The Kinetic Generator is a block from RedPower 2 that uses a Wooden Windmill or a Wooden Wind Turbine to generate Blutricity.
The block itself has a large circle on one face which indicates the side a turbine will connect to and what type of turbine may be used. If this side is facing the sky or bedrock then a Wooden Wind Turbine must be used, otherwise a Wooden Windmill is expected. This orientation may be set by placing the generator while facing the correct direction or by using a Screwdriver to rotate it in place.
To attach the turbine, the player right-clicks the Kinetic Generator and places the appropriate turbine item into the GUI's slot. The turbine should now be visibily connected to the generator and will very slowly begin spinning to produce a variable amount of Blutricity. The generator should be wired to a device so its power may be used directly or to a Battery Box for storage. Over time the durability of the turbine will deteriorate and may need to be replaced. Both Wooden Windmills and Turbines produce significantly more energy during inclement weather like rain and snow, but at a slightly higher cost to durability.
