Green Sapphire is a gem added by RedPower 2, like Rubies and Sapphires. Seen as far down as level 10 but also higher up around level 45. The Green Sapphire is actually an Emerald and was originally called such, but since the addition of Emeralds to the vanilla game the name was changed.
Usage[]
Like other gems can be used to construct the basic tools, including axes, pickaxes, shovels, swords, handsaws, and sickles. They can also be crafted into a block. The tools made by green sapphires are as fast as diamond tools, however, they do not last as long as thier diamond counterparts, lasting 501 uses (twice the durability of iron), and they also cannot mine Obsidian.
Green Sapphire is also used to craft the Sonic Screwdriver.

- The Green Sapphire used to be called Emerald, but was widely confused with players regarding Emerald, the Vanilla Villager Trading Block.
- In later versions of RedPower, it even gets called "Peridot". How confusing.
