The Hungry Chest is a Thaumcraft 4 and Thaumcraft 3 block that "eats" all items dropped on top and/or next to it, perfect for having just outside an Infernal Furnace. It can also be opened with a block directly over it, making it useful for decoration and small houses.
The Aspects required to research this item are: Motus, Animus, Permutato, and Vacuous.
There's an unconfirmed bug that if items are thrown at the chest, it will "eat" it, and if the chest is opened a random item from the players inventory will be transferred into the chest.
This chest can be manipulated with Buildcraft and other pipes the same way as regular chests. However, they do not increase in storage size when placed side by side.
