Emerald ore is a vanilla item found in Extreme Hills biome or Extreme Hills Edge biome (from minecraft wiki, only vanilla version of Extreme Hills biome will work) while mining. It yields 1 emerald when smelted or mined, 2 Emerald Dust when macerated / pulverised (with a chance of a side product) and 1 emerald, 6 tiny piles of emerald dust and 2 tiny piles of Olivine Dust when processed in Industrial Grinder. Therefore it's recommended to mine it with the Silk Touch ability.
