Grid Electric Jetpack
Type Armor
Stackable No
Source Mod IndustrialCraft2

The Electric Jetpack is a simpler, more easily recharged, and otherwise mostly superior version of the conventional Jetpack, added by IndustrialCraft2. Flying is performed by holding down the jump key.

The Electric Jetpack is limited to a maximum flying height of ~185 meters (blocks) above the bedrock layer. For comparison, the normal Jetpack is limited to 200 meters above bedrock.

It also has a Hover Mode, which can be turned on and off by pressing the M key (by Default) while pressing Spacebar (hold on and press the other, it is advised to hold m and press space unless you want to change modes midflight). In Hover Mode, holding the jump key will make the player ascend more slowly (roughly equivalent to ascending a ladder), and the jetpack will automatically slow the player's fall to a similar speed, this makes it impossible to take fall damage while equipped and charged.

It is used in crafting the Advanced Electric Jetpack.

Recharging[]

A fully charged Electric Jetpack has enough power to fly for about 215 seconds (three minutes and 35 seconds) in normal mode, and about 375 seconds (six minutes and 15 seconds) in hover mode. This is drastically longer than the regular Jetpack's flight time of ~60 seconds.

Unlike the normal Jetpack, the Electric one remains powerful right until it drains the charge completely.

The Electric Jetpack can be recharged using a basic Generator, a BatBoxRE-Battery (Jetpack must be in your inventory Hotbar for this method to work), MFE or an MFSU. The Electric Jetpack requires 30,000 EU to fully charge. It can also be charged with the Solar Helmet. When using the solar helmet, you can continuously fly even if the jetpack has fully discharged and even at night (as long as it isn't raining); however, you can take fall damage even in hover mode if the jetpack lands while out of charge, making this hazardous without Long Fall Boots, charged NanoSuit Boots, or Charged Quantum Boots. The best way to charge the electric jetpack is to put it in an Ultimate Hybrid Solar Panel.
