Casting wands are vis containing wands from Thaumcraft 3, which are used for completing the smelting process in the Crucible, supplying vis to Arcane Worktable and Infusion Altar recipes, and the creation of the Thaumonomicon. They should not be confused with the various Utility Wands, such as the Wand of Equal Trade or the Wand of Fire.
Wand of the Apprentice[]
The most basic wand in Thaumcraft, using just one shard (any type), a stick, and a gold nugget. It can only carry 50 vis at a time, so it is helpful to upgrade as soon as possible.
