Can somebody legitimately fix the background? It seems to be moderator controlled but it's got nothing to do with this website and is quite annoying to have pop up every single time I visit for mod information.
I'm running FTB on Ubuntu Precise 64bit, playing on a friend's
server. I'd been experiencing segfaults of the JVM running
minecraft, which create a file called something like
hs_err_pid26021.log - which you can also see if you
have the Reopen launcher after exiting minecraft? option
ticked in the launcher options. It contains:
Ever hate having to make a Igneous Extruder for that factory? Do you always run out of Redstone, and when you reach for your Minium Stone , and realise you have no more Cobblestone ? Have no fear! I am here! I have found a tutorial to make a Cobblestone Generator! Here it goes! (Sorry about no pictures. I'll try to get those in.)
- 1 Materials
- 2 The Ghost in the Machine
- 3 Containment Control
- 4 Watch your Step!
- 5 The Underground.
- 6 The Coup d'etat
This design can be created to absolutely any size, creating just one cobblestone block every 2 seconds, or hundreds. For the purposes of this tutorial, all data will be for this design, which is 8 blocks long.
- 8 Block Breakers
- At least 8 Pneumatic Tubes
- 68 of any Block
- 2 Buckets of Water
- 2 Buckets of Lava
- 8 Red Alloy W…
Today I decided to try to get a silly achievement for writing in my blog. I'm not even 100% sure I can get an achievement for this, but it's my own personal writing space so who cares.
I do soething wrong cause i cant change mods on jetpeck, wrench etc... So can someone write his FUNCTIONING controls please. I will be very glad if someone can help me :). Its really hard play without this option and think that you can imagine it. i dont want to write all controls just important ftb ones.... Thank you :3
May I have help with tinkers construct I just don't know what to do?
Recently I set out to breed bees on a FtB Ultimate server, and discovered that there doesn't seem to be a definitive guide for beginners. I'm going to set out to make that guide based on my own experiences.
First, a couple of disclaimers:
- Bee breeding is a long and tedious process. You have been warned.
- Bee breeding is randomized, so even if you set everything up correctly, you may not get the desired results the first time around.
- Bee breeding, like Thaumcraft research, is intended to be very "discoverable." I will be spoiling some of the species of bees in this document. I'll do my best not to spoil all of them, but you have been warned.
- Bee breeding is most rewarding with the Extra Bees add-on to Forestry (and Thaumic Bees, if you're pla…
I'm still updating this wiki, but i'm also checking out the more "official" wiki that replaces this one (I think?) - on top of that, i'm creating my own mod for Minecraft because it was on my to-do and seemed like a fun way to make the most of what free time I have while keeping my Java coding skills sharp.
So, lots to do. I can't do too many things at once, or nothing'll get done, so I knocked a few things down on my priority list. Rest assured, i'll keep on filling in the holes, just at a slower pace.
Hello, i'm a game dev that happens to like the FTB modpack. I'll contribute whenever I can to whatever I can, and hopefully this'll grow into a really cool thing :3
Just wanted to let you know I have a FTB Series going on my Youtube channel!
You can find it here
Thanks and have a great day!
i am a big contributer on the extra bees wiki and come here sometimes to fill in some information and while i do it i will help update this wiki

Mod Pack: Direwolf20 Pack
Game Mode: Survival
Objective: To build a town fully legit with most, if not all buildings having some sort of purpose whilst using all of the mods included in the pack.
Does anybody know if you can use Sphax texturepack on Direwolf20 pack and if you can let me know and how to get it.
Yeah, by writing these simple lines in this here place. I commit myselft to being an achievement ....
Can I have my cookie now?
I wonder how many other people write a blog for no reason other than to get the 10 point achievement?
On YouTube I am doing a feed the beast lets play and i was wondering which mod should i start with, Thermal Expansion? Or BuildCraft please comment below. My YouTube username is ThunderNinja44.
F.T.B-Better then tekkit!-Better then vannila!-Best game in the world!-better then corn!-
I posted this idea on Tekkit, but users there seem to only want things that are massively overpowered so I can't discuss balancing acts there at all. I also had a chat with Drakal about balancing such a device too so I felt a new blog would be better for the ideas.
My idea was to have a quantum chest designed so that you could store multiple pages of inventory like a diamond chest sized inventory. After thinking about nuke proofing, quantum armor requires power to resist damage. So why not give the chest a charge slot so you can put a powering device in it, and give the chest storage for power and have it drain a certain amount of EU per second to maintain it's storage? As well as an input for a power supply to be fed into it rather tha…
I came to FTB after friends recommended it as an alternative to Tekkit. I loved Tekkit for several things it gave me which were really nice. I am having toruble ajusting because there are spesific things I loved and used often missing from the game. I will list the items I've noticed so far below this paragraph but first, I don't know anything about the individual mods that make up the system. I started using tekkit when someone told me it was a pack of mods that was an easy install and a simple download to use. I can't stand tekkit anymore because it's destroyed my tekkit server 7 times now, completely totally destroyed to the point of total world corruption. I'm sick of losing everything and I'm sick of teleport pipes crashing my c…
I spent hours today on re-doing footage for my first turtorial (Get it? Turtle tutorial, turtorial!). I felt so full of fail, but even as I was trying to teach others how to use turtle teleporters, I myself learned along the way as well. I'll probably make something really cool with this teleporters in the near future, and probably post up the fruits of my labors. Until then, I'm just looking forward to the next peripheral that I'm going to tackle.
What more mod items can we add to this wiki? Maybe we could make a list...
when i try to play on the mindcrack modpack for 10-15 minutes it would lag and crash.I have tried to install optifine, but when I try and log into my world if would freeze.Someone tell me that they are having the same problem or can atleast help. A ANWSER WOULD BE MOST APPERCIATED, Thank you for reading this.
Hello! I'm really only doing this for the badge, but I want to say this: I'm here now, so please, just keep on doing whatever it is you normal, ordinary people do with your lives. I wouldn't know. PEACE!
Good day, fellow denizens of the internet!
Well, not good day really, that's the whole point of this "blog", which is basically me wining, so it must be a blog - or is that a vlog? Or is it both? Never mind, I'm going off topic. Anyway, I started the day thinking that my legs were just stiff - now I find it's s build-up of lactic acid. I am so screwed in PE on Thursday...plus, my homework just keeps piling on up, I can never find enough time to do what I want to do, and my mother is going crazy over socks (don't ask). Anyway, this concludes my first ever Blog. Please tell me just how badly I did, and maybe I'll make it into the Guiness Book of World Records. Peace!
I was wondering, which pack is the most popular?
Please comment below with the one you use the most often.
So, I was looking for information on the leggings in the set (durability and whatnot), and I noticed there are two pages that are about the same subject. Links can be found here and here. They both are pretty good pages, and don't seem to be missing anything. But since there isn't really a point in having duplicate pages, which one should go?
Can someone please help me with the install of FTB? I downloaded all of the stuff for my mac but i dont know how to actually start the FTB. How do I get it open so i can choose singlepalayer, multiplayer, options, texture packs etc?
Should items or links be capitalized? I don't really know where to stand here. Should it be either
or geothermal generator ?
And should this stay consistant for when it isn't linked and should things ever not be linked?
I was wondering as I look around the wiki, whether it makes any sense to have articles for Vanilla items?
On one hand they might have uses in different mods but on the other those uses can be described in articles for those. The vanilla behavior should be fairly known to everyone using mods I think? Or otherwise MinecraftWiki has everything one would want to know about vanilla items.
Anyone having any thoughts on this?
I am a Mac using developer/gamer and sometimes this causes things to be a little more difficult, (unlike most of the time when I find a Unix based OS much easier).
FTB (an the same for Tekkit) is one of those times.
The OS X version of the Java 7 has certain issues with some mods for some reason. The error occurs in the Light Weight Java Gaming Library (aka lwjgl) though I have no issues with the latest vanilla Minecraft which also uses lwjgl. This is really annoying. Fun fact though: An aquaintance, who is a Senior Developer at Oracle in Sweden (owner of Java), has told me of the frequent changes being prioritized do to the heavy use of Minecraft users.
My work around for this issue is to run FTB with Java 6 instead. Open any standard text…
In a nutshell: This blog contains an overview of things to do around this wiki as well as topics that are open for discussion.

This wiki has come a long way in the past two months. I want to personally thank everyone who has helped build up this wiki so far, be it writing articles, improving them, making them look better or just fixing spelling mistakes. Remember that you can make a difference! Thank you for making this wiki a better place.
That said, there is still a lot to work on. Here is a list of things to do and unresolved discussions. Everyone's opinion is important. Please share your thoughts.
- Anonymous Editing. Should users be required to create an account before ed…
As of late, the wiki has seen some unfortunate intentional vandalism. I think it's pretty sad that someone is wasting both our and their time doing this. But this brings up the question, do we want to keep anonymous editing enabled?
Originally I was against disabling anonymous editing, but I fear that these random acts of vandalism might just increase as time progresses. So should we disable anonymous editing? I'm starting to lean towards yes, but I'm curious to hear what other people think about it.
If people really want to contribute, it's likely they will just create an account, it doesn't take more than 5 seconds. So I don't think we'd be impeding progress by disabling anonymous editing.
I've been a user of many modpacks over the years, e.g. tekkit. I thought now is my time to give back to the community and help out with the creation of the wiki. I'm Hoping anybody who knows there way around these mods feels the same way and starts trying to help out as much as they can with this wiki
As a general rule of thumb when writing about an object, use its singular form. If a page about an object is pluralized, or any other improper use of pluralization, please fix it. Thank you.
I've been hard at work with adding stuff to the wiki, cleaning up some pages and trying to get some consistency through the articles. At the moment I'm mostly concentrating my efforts on RedPower 2 and a couple of other mods.
The main thing I'm currently working on are navigation templates. These should be created for each mod and added to each page relating to that mod. I've created and am currently working on Template:RP2-nav and I've started off Template:GT-nav. I've also copied the navigation template from the IC² wiki to Template:IC2-nav and I've been cleaning it up and tweaking it to suit this wiki.
Some thoughts on consistency... Each item/block should be provided with the item template, for blocks it should have a 128x128 image of th…
I have put all the machine grid templates in a sub category of Templates called Grid Templates. That should make it easy to find the machine to use or create a new one if it does not exist.
I have furthermore added a Navigation Templates category for all the bottom navigation boxes, so it is easy to find those too.
If there are problems adding categories to articles, check for unclosed tags in the source.
There has been a recent issue in which people are adding pages that already exist, or one that are made up. I think this is become a big issue for people that are trying to make the wiki better.
