The Advanced Pump is a block from the GregTech Expansion. It is a machine that, like the regular IC2 pump, can pull liquid out of a large basin such as an ocean. It can accept a maximum of 128 EU per tick. Inside its interface there is a slot for Mining Pumps as well as an input and output for liquid containers such as buckets and cells. However, it is not recommended to use containers due to the speed at which the Advanced Pump will take in liquid. Instead, one should connect a large tank to the pump using liquiducts or waterproof piping.
Once given an appropriate power supply and a number of Mining Pipes, the Advanced Pump will slowly drop a block below it connected by the pipes. When the block comes in contact with another block below it, it will begin to pump liquid out of a large square (131x131) area around it, starting from the outside edge and moving in a spiral fashion.
