The Advanced Diamond Drill (Advanced Dimond Drill in Beta Pack A) is an electric tool added by the IC2 addon Gravitation Suite. It stores 15,000 EU and is 35% faster than a normal Diamond Drill while still retaining the Diamond Drill's range of ores. However, it consumes 160 EU per block mined (twice as much as the Diamond Drill), and can only mine about 93 blocks from a full charge before needing a recharge.
As with other electric tools, it can be charged by placing it in an MFE or MFSU or by a worn LapPack or its upgraded versions.
The Advanced Diamond Drill cannot be charged using the normal BatPack, and requires an upgraded version of the BatPack to charge (which can be hard to obtain in the beginning of the game, but to be fair, the drill is pretty hard early on in the game to get, due to the need for titanium if GregTech is installed).
